MONROE SCOUT SPENCER JH / DJ

Get to know Monroe

A black and white dog with a collar and a tracking device is holding a pheasant in a forested area with fallen leaves and grass.
A dog with a black head and white body sitting in a field of dry, brown plants at sunset.
A brown and white speckled dog standing in a grassy field outdoors on a cloudy day.
Dog swimming in a river with grassy and brown vegetation on the bank.

If Monroe says the bird’s in a certain location, you know it’s there even if you can’t find it at first. I have kicked the same weed pile as hard as I could for five minutes. Nothing came out of it so I tapped him on the back of his head to release him. He moved a little and back on point he went. So I then moved the weeds apart with my hand, and sure enough it was tucked down in. He always comes up with his bird. His nose is exceptional. There is nothing more that he loves to do than go to work. Even if he doesn’t like what we are doing, he would rather be doing it then sitting in the house. We love to dock dive, shed hunt, and of course bird hunt. We are currently working on running Monroe for his Senior Hunter title through American Kennel Club (AKC).
